So long story short, I finally submitted to the billboard creative exhibition in Los Angeles, CA.

I ended up selecting four images instead of three, and they are as follows:

I figured I may as well go for it considering I was spending the money anyway, what’s another $8?
My selection was partly influenced by advice solicited from Bae, peers, and a control group in a local arts and business forum I’m a part of. I ended up additionally gaining the attention of a local comic book company and brick and mortar store, who inquired to me about potentially having me do work on some material of their’s, as well as sending my email around for agents and representation.
My bullet list for qualities in my submissions were how well they pop and thumbnail in relation to color and composition, and if there was a strong emotional, contextual, or imaginative narrative within them respectively.
Here’s crossing my fingers the billboard creative actually takes me and not just my money.

On another note, inspiration wise, I finally listened to the literary legend “Call Of Cthulhu”, and to my surprise, it did not disappoint.
I was thoroughly tantalized with the grim imagery and immediately drew comparisons with Mike Mignola’s story telling as well as actually drawing whilst listening to the audiobook, the subject of my sketches being the titular deity Himself, The Unknowable One in his house in R’lyeh. Of course scribbling a few in a Mignola style. Before listening to Call Of Cthulhu I had listened to Shadow Over Innsmouth, and yet again was thoroughly entertained, specifically due to the aged recording of my narrator’s cigarette addled voice.
